Medicinal plants (KF.LL-711)
收藏资源简介:
Medicinal plants collection at the M.M. Gryshko National Botanical Garden plays a vital role in biodiversity conservation, genetic resources preservation, and supplying raw materials for pharmaceutical industry, food supplements, and healthcare products. The collection, developed since the 1970s, now includes hundreds of species with pharmacological activity, many of them introduced, cultivated, and studied for their biological, biochemical, and ecological properties. Collection covers the wide selection of high-yielding cultivars, enables further phytochemical analyses, development of phyto-formulations for the potential treatment of cardiovascular, respiratory, and infectious diseases, and testing antioxidant, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and adaptogenic properties. The work also focuses on ornamental landscaping potential, ecological adaptability, and creating standardized medicinal raw materials for pharmaceutical and dietary use, ensuring Ukraine’s contribution to global medicinal plant diversity and sustainable bioresource management.
