Online monitoring of the reactions of 2-cyanobenzaldehyde with carbanions derived from ethyl 2-arylacetates

The reactions of deprotonated ethyl 2-arylacetates (aryl = p-nitrophenyl or p-cyanophenyl) with 2-cyanobenzaldehydes in DMSO at 20 °C were monitored by stopped-flow photometry.
