A Habsburg Ambassador's Phonosphere: supplementary data and code / Fonosfera de un embajador imperial: datos y código

Supplementary material for the article "A Habsburg Ambassador's Phonosphere: Musical Experience and Material Culture in the Writings of Hans Khevenhüller". It holds the data, the lexical instrument and the scripts used to extract and code the musical and sonic references in the writings of Hans Khevenhüller (1538-1606), ambassador of Emperors Maximilian II and Rudolf II to Philip II of Spain. The corpus comes from two complementary Spanish editions: the diary edited by Sara Veronelli and Félix Labrador Arroyo (2001) and the critical edition of the documentary record by Alfredo Alvar Ezquerra (2015). The central table gathers 103 passages with musical vocabulary, coded along three axes drawn from Antonio Rostagno's historical phonosphere: the domain of the sound, its level in the triad of pedal, signal and symbol, and the listener's stance towards what he hears. Two larger corpora accompany it: 621 passages on exequies and honours, and 577 references from the broad sweep. A self-contained bilingual web presentation (index.html) displays the results. Source texts are not distributed, as they are editions under copyright. Only derived data and short scholarly quotations are released. Material suplementario del artículo.
