NVCL Workshop Materials: Gruyere Gold Deposit (15EIS001)

This is a collection of workshop materials from an AuScope NVCL HyLogger Workshop held in Kalgoorlie in February 2023. It includes a HyLogger3 TSG dataset for drill hole 15EIS001, as well as the workshop presentation slides. This drill hole is from the world-class Gruyere gold deposit and contains three wedges, and so was scanned as three datasets. The dataset included here (15EIS001_15EIS001_wedge3_merge.tsg) is the dataset generated for the workshop and is a merged TSG file which includes the data from the 15EIS001.tsg (0-221.5 m) and 15EIS001_W3.tsg (495.5-1701.8m) both of which are available through the AuScope Discovery portal. The merged TSG file also contains an imported geological log as well as gold assay data. The series of slide decks provide an introduction to the NVCL, Hylogger data, and data access, background theory on hyperspectral mineralogy, geological context for the drill holl, and screenshots which provide a walk through of the dataset. \nLineage: This data was collected by the Geological Survey of Western Australia as a part of the AuScope National Virtual Core Library. CSIRO further processed the data in TSG to generate the merged dataset, import logging and assays, and generate spectral indices and plot layouts for the AuScope NVCL workshop held in Kalgoorlie in February 2023. The supporting slide decks were prepared by CSIRO (1,3,6) and GSWA (2,4,5).
