EMPA methods for major element analysis of volcanic glass in core samples from Macauley submarine volcano.

Summary of EMPA methods used in the analysis of volcanic glass samples from Macauley submarine volcano. Analysis of glass geochemistry was done to link deposits of large-scale sediment waves on the southwest flank of Macauley volcano with the 6.3 ka caldera-forming eruption and deposition of the on-land Sandy Bay Tephra.
