Metadata - Microbiota sequences from a blue tit trophic network

This dataset contains the metadata file trophicLevel_microbiota_metadata.txt - a tab-delimited text file with host type identity, sequencing run information, and sampling location for each sample. The columns of the text file include a sample identifier (sample_names) which is identical to the first part of the corresponding file names; the sampling site (valley, forest_stand, population, site, and nest_box); the host type of the microbiota sample (host_type) which is ether adult, male, female, and chick for blue tit fecal samples, caterpillar, and leaf; the sample type(sample_type) which is ether experimental sample negative, or positive controls; and the sequencing run (run). Data collection procedures and information on barcode sequences are described in the manuscript "Microbiota similarity between predators and prey in a blue tit trophic network" by Dion-Phénix et al.
