The 2022 WJP Rule of Law Index dataset evaluates the rule of law in 140 countries and jurisdictions worldwide, with a focus on 11 African countries (including Benin, Botswana, Ethiopia, Kenya, Nigeria, etc.). It contains 82 tabular records with 57 features each (53 numeric, 4 categorical), split into 65 training and 16 test examples. The dataset covers rule of law index data from 2012-2022, processed by Electric Sheep Africa into Parquet format with standardized cleaning for machine learning applications. The data reflects the fifth consecutive year of declining rule of law in most countries globally.
