Diagnosing the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation in density space is critical under abrupt climate change - Model Output Part I

This dataset contains model output used to derive the figures in the manuscript entitled "Diagnosing the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation in density space is critical under abrupt climate change". Submitted to Geophysical Research Letters in March, 2025. 

The files include the last 200 years of the experiments "Pre-Industrial", and "abrupt4xco2" of the following 4D variables (time, lat, lon, depth/density):

Sea ice area: "a_ice"

Vertical velocity: "w"

Bolus of vertical velocity: "bolus_w"

Contribution of heat fluxes to surface buoyancy fluxes (density AMOC): "std_heat_flux"

Contribution of freshwater fluxes to surface buoyancy fluxes (density AMOC): "std_frwt_flux"

Residual fluxes (density AMOC): "std_rest_flux"

Sea Surface Temperature: "sst"
