iiCON Bioactives Library - Genome Submissions

This project has collated, and continues to expand, a large isolate library of bacterial and fungal strains, based at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine. Starting as part of the 'Swab and Send' public outreach initiative, the library has greatly expanded within iiCON. The library is currently being screened for novel antimicrobials and antimicrobial resistance genes. However, the potential of screening for natural products and other encoded genes is near limitless given the huge diversity present within the library. This BioProject will host genomes associated with publications from the library.
