Bacterial, archaeal, and fungal communities across in saline lakes

We investigated the bacterial, archaeal, and fungal communities in samples from three salt lakes (Gouchi, Yuncheng, and Luyang lakes) and surrounding agricultural soils using high-throughput Illumina sequencing of 16S rRNA and internal transcribed spacer (ITS) gene amplicons, and described the major environmental factors that affected the species diversity and compositions of the microbial assemblages.
