LH2CRAFT - Safe and Efficient Marine Transportation of Liquid Hydrogen

This data set contains the results obtained from the testing of metallic materials used in the conceptual design of the LH₂ marine membrane-type Cargo Containment System studied within the framework of the HORIZON-JTI-CLEANH2-2022-02-06 project LH2CRAFT. Stainless steel grades 316L and 304L have been subjected to a series of tests to evaluate their performance under relevant operating conditions. The testing focuses on determining representative material properties at room temperature (RT, 298 K or 25°C), low temperature (LT, 77 K or -196°C), and cryogenic temperature (CT, 4.2 K or -269°C) conditions.
