This volume contains a copy of the German periodical "Deutscher Buchund Steindrucker", May 10 containing an article on a new photoengraving system invented by Dr Mertens. Inserted between the leaves there is also: "Journal fur Buchdruckerkunst", 21 April 1910, containing a similar article; a typescript copy of another article on the subject from the "British Colonial Printer Stationer", 26 May; an extract from "The Fourth Estate", 16 July 1910; and a copy of a German newspaper, "Freiburger Zeitung", special edition, August 1910, which is an issue especially devoted to the new process and containing examples of it.
