Population Genetics of Tetraopes texanus

We collected Tetraopes texanus across its' range and performed RADseq on samples to define population structure across the range. T. texanus has a disjunct distribution across the Gulf Coastal Plain of the United States; it primarily occurs in Texas and Oklahoma, but also occurs in the Black Belt Prairies of Mississippi and Alabama. Defining population structure can elucidate current status of this insect and inform conservation decisions, as well as provide insight into the processes that gave rise to its' unique distribution.
