Financial Fraud Dataset

This dataset is a simulation of financial transactions. Inspired the PaySim Financial Simulator developed my Ahmed Elmir, this dataset intends to simulate a variety of online banking transactions. The dataset consists of over six million transactions. Its attributes include transaction type, amount, sender and receipient details. The dataset is imbalanced reflecting the rarity of fraud in actual financial systems. This dataset provides a controlled environment for developing and testing machine learning models for fraud detection enabling researchers to evaluate the effectiveness of algorithms in identifying fraudulent transactions with minimal false positives.
