资源简介:
This dataset includes physiological and survival data from an immune priming experiment conducted on two populations of lepidopteran larvae originating from Siberia (Palearctic) and Mexico (Neotropical). The moths were bred for five generations under controlled laboratory conditions (30 ± 1°C, 30% RH, darkness) before immune assays were performed. Larvae were size-controlled (17–20 mm) and maintained individually to avoid batch effects. Dataset includes: 1) Phenoloxidase (PO) activity: Measured via dopachrome formation at 490 nm from L-DOPA substrate over one hour in two populations: Mexico and Siberia, with two experimental groups: Sham and primed 2) Lytic activity: Measured via turbidity reduction at 540 nm from M. lysodeikticus suspension over 30 minutes in two populations: Mexico and Siberia, with two experimental groups: Sham and primed 3) Hemocyte count: Total and live hemocyte numbers measured via trypan blue exclusion using the TC20™ Automated Cell Counter in two populations: Mexico and Siberia, with two experimental groups: Sham and primed 4) Mortality assay: Mortality outcomes following immune priming and bacterial challenge in larvae from two biogeographic origins, Mexico and Siberia, having two experimental groups: Sham and primed
