Determinants of work disability and persisting pain following non-life threatening acute orthopaedic trauma

Persisting pain and work disability following acute injury to workers is common and associated with a significant socioeconomic burden. While acute orthopaedic trauma is a major contributor to the burden of injury, there is a lack of research directed towards understanding the individual level risk factors associated with work disability and persisting pain following non-life threatening acute orthopaedic injuries.
