Monthly, daily and hourly grids of 12 commonly used meteorological variables for Germany estimated by the Project TRY Advancement

These gridded data covering Germany have been prepared within the project TRY Advancement, for the period 1995-2012, in order to generate hourly datasets for Germany. The data include hourly, daily and monthly grids of 12 meteorological variables: near-surface (2m) temperature, near surface (2m) dew point temperature, near surface (2m) relative humidity, near surface (2m) vapour pressure, sea level pressure, near-surface (10m) wind speed and wind direction, cloud cover, shortwave direct and global radiation, upward and downward longwave radiation. Input data for the gridding method are the synoptic station data from the DWD MIRAKEL database, supplemented by satellite observations (CM-SAF) and model data (COSMO-CLM).
