16S rRNA sequencing data of gut and oral microbiota in young mice after polystyrene nanoplastics exposure

Eight-week-old male C57BL/6 mice were randomly divided into two groups: the control group received normal drinking water ad libitum for 8 weeks, while the experimental group was provided with normal drinking water for the first 2 weeks followed by 1000 ug/L polystyrene nanoplastics (PS-NPs) in drinking water ad libitum for the subsequent 6 weeks. After an 8-week intervention, oral microbial and fecal samples were collected from both groups. The composition of the gut microbiota was analyzed using 16S rRNA gene sequencing.
