Slopes in Illinois Derived from the USGS Digital Elevation Model (DEM) from the Illinois State Geological Survey

Such data are useful in creating shaded relief images,
characterizing topography and morphology, analyzing erosion
potential and gross stream valley characteristics, and
investigating the relationship between slope and other
landscape features.

This data set served as the ultimate parent coverage for

This polygon data set was derived from the Triangular Irregular
network (TIN) surface topography representation for the state
of Illinois. It contains over 2,800,000 million arcs and
1,800,000 million polygons. It has a file size greater
than 600 Mb and is stored off-line on CD-ROM.

This data set will not be made available on-line.

Fixes needed for stslope are:
Values for item RESLOPE need to be recalculated, as the
