The SC-WACCM6 Model Outputs for the Study 'Arctic Stratospheric Polar Vortex Collapse Amplified South China Extreme Rainfall in April 2024'

The data presented here are the outputs from the R1 (weakening of the Arctic stratospheric polar vortex) and R2 (strengthening of the Arctic stratospheric polar vortex) simulations, conducted using the specific chemistry version of the Whole Atmosphere Community Climate Model version 6 (SC-WACCM6).

The files R1.cam.h0.0003-0032.U_V_T_Q_OMEGA_Z3_PRECT.April.nc and R2.cam.h0.0003-0032.U_V_T_Q_OMEGA_Z3_PRECT.April.nc represent the monthly outputs of atmospheric variables for the 30 members (0003-0032) in the R1 and R2 runs in April.

The files R1.cam.h1.0003-0032.Z3.March.daily.nc and R1.cam.h1.0003-0032.Z3.April.daily.nc provide the daily geopotential height outputs for March and April in the R1 runs, while R2.cam.h1.0003-0032.Z3.March.daily.nc and R2.cam.h1.0003-0032.Z3.April.daily.nc are the corresponding outputs for the R2 runs.
