Provided are compositions and methods for conferring insecticidal activity to bacteria， plants， plant cells of plants， tissues and seeds. Provided are compositions that include an encoding sequence for one polypeptide of -derivative of Brevibacillus endotoxin. The sequences are encoders may use is of DNA constructs or cassettes of expression for the transformation and expression in plants and bacteria. The compositions also include transformed bacteria， plants， plant cells of plants， tissues and seeds transformed. In particular， provided are molecules of nucleic acid of -isolated delta-endotoxin. In addition， the sequences are comprised of amino acids corresponding to the polynucleotides， and the antibodies which are specifically bind to these sequences of amino acids. In particular， the present invention provides molecules of nucleic acid isolated that have nucleotide sequences that encode the sequence of amino acids depicted in the SEQ ID 2， 4， 7 or 10， or the nucleotide sequence set forth in SEQ ID no: 1 and the 3， 5， 6， 8， 9， 11， 12， 13， 14， or 15， as well as the variants and fragments of the same.
