The included directories contain code and data used to conduct the analyses and produce the figures. Further README files are provided within each directory to explain the scripts and output files.

"1_Prepare_and_clean_data"
- Code and output files from preparing the alpha diversity raster layers, creating the uncertainty masks, preparing the environmental covariate raster layers, selecting random grid cells at global, biome and ecoregion scales, and extracting values for the random grid cells. Output files from this directory can be used to run the code in the other directories.

"2_Richness_correlations"
- Code and output files used to evaluate richness relationships with Spearman rank correlation coefficients and GAMs at global, biome and ecoregion scales.

"3_Correlation_drivers"
- Code used to conduct analyses of the potential mechanisms driving correlation patterns.

"4_Diversity_hotspots"
- Code and output files from calculating diversity hotspots and examining hotspot overlap.

- Code and output files from the uncertainty analyses.
