Sorghum bicolor cultivar:BTx623 Variation

To find genetics basis for the Kranz anatomy in C4 plants, a forward genetics approach was used. Seeds from two isolates of S. bicolor (BTx623-R and BTx623-Z) were mutagenized by EMS and Gamma-rays, respectively, and mutant screening for low vein density narrowed down to two candidates. Bulk segregant analysis was performed to identify the causal genes.
