Nitrate or urea responsive microarray in a pair of contrsting rice genotypes

To find out the genotype specific differentially expressed genes in response to N source Two contrasting Indica rice genotypes namely, Nidhi and Panvel 1 were used. Arnon Hoagland medium with either nitrate or urea were used as fertilizer sources. Two N doses, normal (15 mM of N) was used as control while low (1.5mM of N) was used as test. 12 rice samples for two contrasting genotypes were analyzed for dual colour gene expression analysis. 3 biological replicates were used for this analysis. For this purpose whole tissue (shoot and root)of 21 old days grown plants in nutrient depleted soil, fertilized with normal (15mM) or low (1.5mM) nitrate or urea were used.
