Eriocheir sinensis Transcriptome or Gene expression

In this study, the Chinese mitten crab (Eriocheir sinensis), one of the most economically important aquatic products in China, was used as a model animal and exposed to 80 nm nanoplastic polystyrene and/or phoxim. Exposure concentrations were chosen based on previous studies assessing environmentally relevant concentrations of NP and X in aquatic ecosystems. In this study, we explored the potential molecular mechanisms of toxicity of NP and/or X exposure to the hepatopancreas of the Chinese mitten crab Eriocheir sinensis at the histopathological, physiological and transcriptomic levels. The findings will help to explain the potential toxicity risk of NP and/or X exposure to aquatic organisms.
