资源简介:
PSR J1803-67 is a binary millisecond pulsar (MSP) recently discovered by theTRAPUM collaboration. Radio eclipses and a periodically variable opticalcounterpart indicate that this is a redback system a MSP binary in which thecompanion suffers from ablation by the MSPs wind.It is particularly noteworthy that PSR J1803-67 exhibits a high X-ray luminosityrelative to the gamma-regime when compared to similar systems. We believe thatthe high relative X-ray flux may be a signature of enhanced X-ray emission froman intra-binary shock. In order to unveil the origin of its X-ray emission in a detailed spectralanalysis and to search for an orbital or aperiodic modulation of its X-ray flux we propose a 70 ks XMM-Newton observation of the redback pulsar PSR J1803-67.
