This project deposits raw 16S rRNA gene amplicon reads (V3-V4; primers 347F/800R) from 10 artisanal Kaddid samples collected in the Naama region of Algeria. Libraries were sequenced as Illumina paired-end reads and processed with QIIME 2 and DADA2 for denoising and ASV inference; taxonomy was assigned against DAIRYdb and verified by BLAST. We also performed culture-dependent isolation and identification of lactic acid bacteria from 32 samples. These data support a study of microbial diversity dominated by Staphylococcus in the metataxonomic profiles and of LAB (mainly Enterococcus) with antimicrobial potential.
