This series is comprised of one cash book which recorded payments made to and by the Albury Pastures Protection Board Reserves Improvement Fund. The Pastures Protection Act 1934, Section 16, states that, "Every board shall, in January in each year, cause an account in the prescribed form to be prepared of its receipts and expenditure for the year preceding under distinct heads, with a statement of the balance. Such account shall be duly audited and certified. A copy of such account shall be published not later than the month of March next following in one or more newspapers circulating in the district. Copies of such account shall also be furnished to the Minister and the Auditor-General."The pages within the register are divided into columns, with each double age spread divided into Cash (Dr) and Contra (Cr). The first section, Cash, has the following headings: Date; Receipt, nature and number; Name; Particulars; Permit No.; Ledger Folio; Reserves Improvement Fund; Corowa, Hume, Urana, Wagga, Narrandera, Hay, Condobolin; Sundries; total amount Received; Banked, date and amount. The second section, Contra, has the following headings: Date; name; Particulars; Ledger Folio; Amount; Rabbits, Reserves Improvement, Other P.P. Boards, Fencing, Suckering, Scrubbing, Ringing, Weeds, Tanks, Tree Planting, Fire Places; Sundry Payments; Acquittance No.; and Withdrawn from Bank.At the top of each page, beneath the column headings, is "Brought Forward" and the bottom of each page is "Carried Forward."
