Trabecular bone microarchitecture from μCT assessment of the tooth extraction sockets along the bone healing process.

Morphological parameters of the trabecular bone microarchitecture were assessed using the CTAn software from the cylindrical region of interest (ROI) determined by segmenting the trabecular bone located from the coronal to apical thirds. Trabecular measurements analyzed included the tissue volume (TV), bone volume (BV) bone volume fraction (BV/TV, %), trabecular thickness (Tb.Th, mm), trabecular number (Tb.N, mm), and trabecular separation (Tb.Sp).
