The first complete genome of Kucuria varians strain G6

Here we present the complete genome of Kocuria varians G6. The strain was isolated from a wall in small Danish Slaughterhouse. We have in a recent publication shown how this strain can be involved in synergistic biofilm formation with other bacterial species isolated from the same environment. Genome sequencing libraries were prepared using the Nanopore Native Barcoding Kit 24 V14 (SQK-NBD114.24), according to the manufacturer's recommendations, followed by sequencing on a PromethION R10.4.1 flow cell (FLO-PRO114M). The nanopore raw fast5 data was basecalled using Guppy (v7.1.4) with the super-accurate model (400bps). Quality filtered using MinKNOW (v23.07.12) and Filtlong (v0.2.1; https://github.com/rrwick/Filtlong), and assembled using Trycycler (v0.5.4).
