A quantitative framework for evaluating marine-based geologic constraints on Antarctic Ice Sheet retreat [datasets]
收藏资源简介:
This record contains datasets associated with the manuscript "A quantitative framework for evaluating marine-based geologic constraints on Antarctic Ice Sheet retreat" (Halberstadt et al, ***in revision at QSR***). Ice sheet model output: 'nested-model-output.zip' contains an ensemble of time-evolving Antarctic ice sheet model outputs spanning the last deglaciation. The model domain spans West Antarctica; these nested simulations are downcaled from a previously published continent-wide model ensemble (https://doi.org/10.5194/tc-20-931-2026). Nested simulations are performed at 10km grid resolution, and model history writes occur every 200 years (from 30ka-0). Model output variables are described in the NetCDF metadata within each file; key variable for comparing model output against geologic data include 'h' (ice thickness, m) and 'maskwater' (categorizes each grid cell into floating or not floating). See 'model-output-readme.txt' for more details. Radiocarbon model constraints: 'SQLquery.txt' lists the SQL parameters for extracting radiocarbon data and ancillary information (e.g., facies classification, location, water depth, original publication) from the Radiocarbon Cyberinfrastructure tool RAD-CI at rad-ci.org. (These data were originally pulled from a preliminary prototype database prior to the public release of rad-ci.org, so the dataset used in the publication may be slightly different than the SQL result). The information pulled from RAD-CI was then preprocessed and prepared for use in model-data comparison (as described in the accompanying manuscript). 'MarineRadiocarbonConstraints.xlsx' archives the interpreted RAD-CI dataset used in the publication, and separates the final preprocessed set of model constraints into ice-proximal, ungrounded, and open-marine categories.
