Abyât-i-shu’arâ This manuscript is now IO Islamic 1750 in the India Office collections. [metadata: Hermann Ethé, Catalogue of Persian Manuscripts in the Library of the India Office, 2 vols. (Oxford: India Office, 1903): volume 1, number 1740 here with notations and hyperlinks]. 1750 Abyât-i-shu’arâ (ابيات شعرا). Another, very short, anthology of Persian verses, taken for the greater part from the dîwâns of modern poets, without any special arrangement. Prominent contributors are Ṣâ’ib (died A.H. 1088), Wâlih (died A.H. 1169, see No. 1708 above), Shaukat (died A.H. 1107), Bîdil (died A.H. 1133), etc. It opens with a bait Ṣalâḥ-aldînkhân, with the takhalluṣ Ṣalâḥ. No date. No. 1740, ff. 13, ll. 15; Nasta’lîḳ; size, 8¾ in. by 4¾ in.
