ASTS - Aktuelle Stimmungsskala Aktueller Stimmungsfragebogen; AST Profile of Mood States (POMS; McNair, D.M., Lorr, M., Droppleman, L.F., 1971) - German modified version

Die ASTS erfasst die aktuelle Stimmung (state). Als Kontruktionsgrundlage diente der "Profile of Mood States" (POMS; McNair, Lorr & Doppleman, 1971). Die ASTS umfasst 19 Items auf den fünf Teilskalen Trauer, Hoffnungslosigkeit, Müdigkeit, Zorn und positive Stimmung. Reliabilität: Cronbachs Alpha beträgt Alpha = .83-.94. Validität: Faktorenanalysen erbrachten unterschiedliche Befunde. Es fanden sich ein-, zwei- und vierfaktorielle Lösungen. Einen wichtigen Hinweis auf die differentielle Validität gibt ein Strukturgleichungsmodell: Die Skalen Stimmungsniveau und Allgemeine Lebenszufriedenheit bilden gemeinsam habituelle Anteile des subjektiven Wohlbefindens ab. Ebenso war die Korrelation zwischen Stimmungsniveau und Lebenszufriedenheit (Trait-Trait-Korrelation: r = .67) enger als die Korrelationen der beiden habituellen mit den drei aktuellen negativen Stimmungsmaßen (Trait-State-Korrelationen: r = .28/.42). Die Stabilitätskoeffizienten für die habituellen Maße Stimmungsniveau und Lebenszufriedenheit (r = .81/.87) waren ebenfalls höher als die für die aktuellen Stimmungsdimensionen Müdigkeit, Trauer, Hoffnungslosigkeit (r = .34/.63). Es konnte gezeigt werden, dass das habituelle subjektive Wohlbefinden eine wichtige Erklärung der aktuellen Stimmung darstellt. Etwa die Hälfte des momentanen Befindens ging auf die aktuelle Stimmung zurück. Die drei Stimmungsdimensionen Trauer, Hoffnungslosigkeit und Müdigkeit korrelieren hoch mit dem General Health Questionnaire (Goldberg, 1972). The ASTS measures the current mood (state). As a construction basis the "Profile of Mood States" was used. (POMS; McNair, Lorr & Doppleman, 1971). The ASTS contains 19 items on the five subscales sadness, hopelessness, tiredness, anger and positive mood. Reliability: Cronbach's alpha is alpha = .83-.94. Validity: Factor analyses yielded different results. One-, two- and four-factor solutions were found. An important indication of differential validity is provided by a structural equation model: the scales mood level and general life satisfaction together represent habitual parts of subjective well-being. Likewise, the correlation between mood level and life satisfaction (trait-trait correlation: r = .67) was closer than the correlations of the two habitual with the three current negative mood measures (trait-state correlations: r = .28/.42). The stability coefficients for the habitual measures mood level and life satisfaction (r = .81/.87) were also higher than those for the current mood dimensions fatigue, grief, hopelessness (r = .34/.63). It could be shown that habitual subjective well-being is an important explanation of the current mood. About half of the current well-being was due to the current mood. The three mood dimensions grief, hopelessness and fatigue correlate highly with the General Health Questionnaire (Goldberg, 1972). reviewed publishedVersion
