Magnetic order is usually formed by the collective interaction between the finite magnetic moments of magnetic ions. However, there is an intriguing example of the magnetic ordering between a spin singlet state having a zero local magnetic moment driven by a crystal electric field. This is the so-called excitonic magnetism. This project explores the excitonic magnetic ordering in a triangular antiferromagnetic lattice as a new material platform.
