Parcoursup 2025: admission offers in higher education for final-year students who graduated with the general baccalaureate, by specialist subjects

The Parcoursup candidates included in this dataset are general baccalaureate graduates registered on Parcoursup 2025 who had at least one confirmed application during the main and/or complementary phase, and whose specialist subjects were correctly reported in Parcoursup.These are the same general baccalaureate graduates as those in the Parcoursup 2025 open data. However, this dataset has been enriched and therefore differs slightly from the previous one.The full documentation in French is available in the Attachments section below.Definitions:EDS (Specialist Subject — Enseignement de spécialité): Since 2021, the ES, L and S streams of the general baccalaureate have been replaced by 13 specialist subjects (2 specialist subjects studied in the final year, chosen from the 3 specialist subjects studied in the penultimate year).Combination: the combination of the 2 specialist subjects studied in the final year.How to read the data:- Column "Number of baccalaureate candidates having confirmed at least one application": Of the 83,925 baccalaureate candidates with the Mathematics & Physics-Chemistry combination, 34,887 confirmed at least one application to the specific programme Preparatory Class for the Grandes Écoles — Mathematics, Physics and Engineering Sciences (CPGE - MPSI).- Column "Number of baccalaureate candidates having received at least one admission offer": Of the 83,925 baccalaureate candidates with the Mathematics & Physics-Chemistry combination, 20,279 received at least one offer for the specific programme CPGE - MPSI.- Column "Number of baccalaureate candidates having accepted an admission offer": 7,110 accepted an offer for the specific programme CPGE - MPSI.Methodology:The data were extracted from the Parcoursup application in September 2025, the end of the 2025 placement phase being set at 10 September 2025.The data are now presented at a more detailed programme level than in previous years' open data releases. This change makes it possible to identify programme titles more precisely within a given programme category.At this detailed level, three indicators are constructed:• Applications: number of candidates having confirmed at least one application to the detailed programme, by combination of specialist subjects studied in the final year;• Admission offers: number of candidates having received at least one admission offer for a detailed programme, by combination of specialist subjects studied in the final year;• Acceptances: number of candidates having accepted an admission offer for a detailed programme, by combination of specialist subjects studied in the final year.Notes on certain specialist subjects:The Arts specialist subject is broken down into circus arts, visual arts, film and audiovisual studies, dance, history of art, music, and theatre.The Literature, Languages and Cultures of Antiquity specialist subject is broken down into Latin and Greek.Points of caution:The Applications column counts, for each combination, the number of candidates having confirmed at least one application across the various programmes. A candidate is therefore counted as many times as they have applied to different programmes. The sum of candidates having confirmed an application to each programme does not correspond to the total number of candidates.The total number of candidates is given in a separate row labelled "All baccalaureate candidates" in the Programme group and Programme columns.The same applies to admission offers: a candidate may receive several admission offers across different programmes.However, candidates can only accept one admission offer. In the column "Number of baccalaureate candidates having accepted an admission offer", the candidate counts for each programme can therefore be summed. The "All baccalaureate graduates" category and other "All" categories of the programme variable must, however, be removed to avoid double-counting students.
