资源简介:
This dataset supports the findings outlined in Temboury-Gutierrez, M., Megyik, O., Encina-Llamas, G., and Dau, T. (2025). "Amplitude- and latency-growth functions of human electrocochleographic and brainstem responses." The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 158, 4512–4524. https://doi.org/10.1121/10.0041759The dataset contains normative data for 20 young test participants with normal hearing thresholds.
The Readme file provides a description of the dataset's content and the related article. The data collected were:
Population data: age, gender, tested ear, and head width and lengthAudiogramsAuditory evoked potentials (AEP)Population DataDataset providing population information for the 20 participants (
tp
) tested in the study. The data summarizes the participants'
age
,
gender
, tested ear (
ear
), and their head
width
(measured ear-to-ear, in the frontal plane) and head
length
(measured from the glabella to the external occipital protuberance, in the median plane) in cm.AudiogramAudiometric thresholds (
thresh
) were collected for 20 participants (t
p
), at frequencies (
freq
) of 0.125, 0.25, 0.5, 1, 2, 4, 8, 10, 12.5, 14, and 16 kHz. The thresholds are given in dB Hearing Level (HL).Auditory Evoked Potentials (AEP)Click- and LS CE chirp-evoked (Kristensen and Elberling, 2012) compound action potentials (CAP) and auditory brainstem responses (ABR) were recorded for 20 participants (
tp
) at 8 stimulus intensities (10 to 80 dB nHL in 10-dB steps). Stimulus calibration followed RETSPL values of 35.5 dB (click) and 31.5 dB (chirp) (Gøtsche-Rasmussen et al., 2012). CAPs were measured using a differential montage from the eardrum to ipsilateral mastoid, and ABRs from vertex to ipsilateral mastoid. The file
evoked_data.npz
contains:
fs
— Sampling frequency (in Hz), used for all waveforms.
time_vector
— Time vector (in ms) for waveforms.Response Measures (all arrays are shaped
(20, 8)
, where axis 0 is participant, axis 1 is intensity):
amp_chirp_cap
— Peak-to-trough amplitudes for chirp CAP.
amp_chirp_abr
— Peak-to-trough amplitudes for chirp ABR.
amp_click_cap
— Peak-to-trough amplitudes for click CAP.
amp_click_abr
— Peak-to-trough amplitudes for click ABR.
peak_lat_chirp_cap
— Latencies (in ms) of N1 peak for chirp CAP.
peak_lat_chirp_abr
— Latencies of wave-V peak for chirp ABR.
peak_lat_click_cap
— Latencies of N1 peak for click CAP.
peak_lat_click_abr
— Latencies of wave-V peak for click ABR.
trough_lat_chirp_cap
— Latencies (in ms) of subsequent trough (P1) for chirp CAP.
trough_lat_chirp_abr
— Latencies of wave-V trough for chirp ABR.
trough_lat_click_cap
— Latencies of P1 for click CAP.
trough_lat_click_abr
— Latencies of wave-V trough for click ABR.Averaged Waveforms:Each waveform is a 2D array of shape
(20, n_time)
, where
n_time
corresponds to the number of samples in the time vector (
time_vector
):
waveform_chirp_cap
— Averaged chirp CAP waveforms.
waveform_chirp_abr
— Averaged chirp ABR waveforms.
waveform_click_cap
— Averaged click CAP waveforms.
waveform_click_abr
— Averaged click ABR waveforms.Note: Intensities are ordered from 10 to 80 dB nHL across axis 1 of all latency and amplitude arrays. All waveforms were baseline-corrected and averaged across trials and resampled to 10 kHz before being saved. The amplitudes and latencies were obtained from the waveforms prior to resampling (fs=16384 Hz).Ethical statementAll listeners were financially compensated for their time and gave written informed consent. Ethical approval for the study was provided by the Science-Ethics Committee for the Capital Region of Denmark (reference H-16036391).AcknowledgmentsThe authors thank the Interacoustics Research Unit (IRU) for kindly providing the waveforms for the LS CE chirp stimuli.ReferencesKristensen, S.
