Zooplankton density in the Gouin reservoir, Quebec (1996)

Zooplankton density (ind/m^3) and associated water quality variables collected from 38 boreal lakes in Canada, including 20 reference lakes, nine lakes affected by logging, and nine affected by wildfire. Sampling was conducted during June, July, and September in 1996 following watershed disturbances. This dataset is part of a project developed to support comparisons of aquatic ecosystem responses to natural (wildfire) and anthropogenic (forest harvesting) disturbances in boreal forests. It includes data on major zooplankton groups (cladocerans, calanoids, cyclopoids, and rotifers) and key water quality indicators.
