The study evaluates the short-term effects of the recent subduction of the Nazca Ridge in Peru, within the context of the long-term tectonic evolution influenced by upper plate stratigraphy and pre-existing structures. We defined the lithosphere-asthenosphere system and the crustal structure of the study area by developing a comprehensive two-dimensional model that integrates geological, geophysical, and petrological data, covering a transect 1000 km in length and 180 km in depth. In particular, using GM-SYS software (Oasis Montaj 2023), we performed a forward modeling of the Bouguer anomaly and a density model. These data were then employed to build a plate-scale geological model and the geological section of the overriding plates using Move software (Petroleum Experts Ltd.).
