Retail trade sales trend quarterly in the European Union Q3 Q4 2014-Q2 Q3 2023

In the third quarter of 2023, the total retail trade sales volume index in the European Union remained nearly unchanged at around 114.73. Still, the third quarter of 2023 marked the sixth consecutive decline of the total retail trade sales volume index. Retail trade is defined as sale of consumer goods for personal or household consumption, including new and used goods, in retail stores such as specialised stores, secondhand goods stores, and non-store locations.
