Biodiversity of mexican extreme sites. Paricutin-Sapichu volcano system

This project aims to characterize the biodiversity in different extreme sites all around Mexico (including geothermal sites, anthropogenic sites, etc). The knowledge of bacterial biodiversity of such extreme sites may also help on the search for new biotechnological resources and environmental bioremediation methodologies.
