Dangermond marine debris data collection, Percos, North Beach and Little Coho, 9/26/23, 9/27/23, and 10/27/23. Scale is #pieces of debris per 5 meter wide transects in 100 meter wide sites.

This is data on marine debris collected at Percos, Little Coho, and North Beach in Dangermond Preserve in September and October of 2023 by students at the Bren School of Environmental Science & Management at UCSB. The data was used for their master's group project, Assessing and Managing Marine Debris in the Proposed Chumash Heritage National Marine Sanctuary, with NOAA's West Coast Regional Office serving as their client. Data was collected using NOAA's MDMAP (marine debris monitoring and assessment protocol) methodology.
