Data files for the manuscript "Planar granular shearing flows: probability distributions, stress relations, and fabric"

This repository contains the MATLAB scripts and DEM simulation data associated with the manuscript "Planar granular shearing flows: probability distributions, stress relations, and fabric", submitted to the Journal of the Mechanics and Physics of Solids in June 2026. The repository includes the following files: Theory_code.m: MATLAB script implementing the numerical solution of the theoretical model developed in the manuscript. Simulations.mat: MATLAB workspace containing the DEM simulation data. The workspace includes the following structures, corresponding to the simulations reported in Table 1 of the manuscript:Sim1: Test 1Sim2: Test 2SimS: Steady-state data (common to both tests) Figures.m: MATLAB script used to generate Figures 2-9 presented in the manuscript.
