Isolation and comparison of native ericoid mycorrhizal fungi present on ericaceous plants within South Africa

The data and figures were generated from a thesis, which focused on the associations between ericaceous plants in the Fynbos regions with fungi at their roots. The main aims were to gain a deeper understanding of the fungal diversity of these beneficial fungi, and to gain more knowledge on ericoid mycorrhizal fungi (ErMF) that are typically associated with these plants. <i>Erica </i>spp. and <i>Vaccinium </i>sp. growing in the Fynbos region were the main plants focused on this this research.
