Finite Element-Based Monte Carlo Simulation Data for Hygromechanical Deformation of Cross-Laminated Timber with Variable Pith Positions and Growth-Ring Curvature

This dataset contains finite element input files and simulation results used to analyse the influence of pith position and growth-ring curvature on hygromechanical deformation in cross-laminated timber (CLT). The dataset includes CalculiX .inp models defining the CLT cross-section, material orientations, and boundary conditions, as well as the full Monte Carlo results for 10⁴ pith-position realisations. The MC_results.csv file provides pith coordinates, node displacements, and computed shrinkage values for all realisations at three representative nodes. The Reference_results.csv file contains results for two Cartesian reference models with uniform lamella orientations (R || x and T || x). This dataset enables full reproducibility of the numerical study, supports further statistical or machine-learning analyses, and provides a benchmark for hygromechanical finite element modelling of CLT.
