Comparative transcriptomics of sessile and planktonic Escherichia coli strains. The bacterial genetic response of (i) adhesion on nano-rough titanium surfaces and (ii) and strain-specific adhesion strategies was investigated via transcriptome data based on the three E. coli strains KI683, ATCC 25922 and K-12 sub-strain RV308.

资源简介:
Comparative transcriptomics of sessile and planktonic Escherichia coli strains. The bacterial genetic response of (i) adhesion on nano-rough titanium surfaces and (ii) and strain-specific adhesion strategies was investigated via transcriptome data. Transcriptome data was collected from E. coli strains KI683 and ATCC 25922 adhered on 2 nm and 7 nm and the planktonic condition. Transcriptome data from E. coli strain RV308 was collected from solely 2 nm and its planktonic state. The transcriptome data revealed no nano-rough dependent attachment comparing 2 and 7 nm states. However, the strains showed different adhesion mechanisms arising from a shared gene pool with minor influences of strain-specific genes.
