收藏资源简介:
Raw data and scripts behind the article "Growing a frozen language: oracle-based compatibility and byte-inert extension in a reimplementation of pic" (submitted to the Journal of Computer Languages). Software under study: rpic, a Rust reimplementation of the dpic dialect of Kernighan's pic (https://github.com/milkway/rpic-lang, concept DOI 10.5281/zenodo.21209915), versions v0.11.0, v0.11.1 and v0.11.2; oracle: dpic 2025.08.01. Contents: (1) bench/ - the pre-registered timing protocol, one hyperfine JSON per file and command for three runs (paired dpic gallery set n=54, full corpus n=123, null-program baseline), the analysis script fixing the statistics in advance, and its output; (2) tools/ - the collision corpus script (40 extension words in three dpic identifier positions, 120 programs) with its verdicts before (60/120 collide) and after (16/120, all environment variables) the v0.11.2 repairs, and the drift-guard mutation runner. Machine: Apple M2 Pro, 10 cores, 16 GB, macOS; hyperfine 1.20.0; rpic built with cargo build --release (rustc 1.97.0). See README.md inside the archive for reproduction.
