"The dataset provides Arctic sea ice surface Early Melt Onset (EMO) and Melt Onset (MO) derived from FY-3B and FY-3D Microwave Radiometer Imager (MWRI) observations using the imPMW2 algorithm. The dataset covers the period 2011\u20132024 at a spatial resolution of 12.5 km on a polar stereographic grid (EPSG:3411), providing consistent, gridded melt onset information across the Arctic region. The product delivers annual maps of EMO and MO expressed as day-of-year values, enabling quantitative assessment of the spatial distribution and temporal variability of spring melt processes. Designed for climate and cryosphere applications, this dataset facilitates investigations of interannual variability, recent changes in melt timing, and their relationship with summer sea ice extent evolution.
