16S rRNA gene -based bacterial composition of ileal digesta in response to 3 different dietary protein sources

Bacterial community composition analysis using the phylogenetic marker 16S rRNA gene on ileal digesta samples collected from weaned pigs fed one of 3 different dietary treatments (conventional soybean, fish meal or microbially modified soybean meal). The purpose was to investigate the effects of dietary protein on the composition of gut bacteria in pigs.
