[Metadata] Local reprocessing feasibility pilot data

This DiCE research evaluated and compared four ECG lead set use and reprocessing scenarios: (1) single-use, (2) direct reuse, (3) local reprocessing, and (4) specialised reprocessing. The aim was to assess each scenario with respect to patient safety and quality, regulatory compliance, stakeholder motivation, environmental sustainability, device lifespan, workflow feasibility, and economic performance. The work included a small-scale pilot at Radboud UMC (Netherlands) and observational study at UZ Leuven (Belgium) for local reprocessing. The findings support the development of circular strategies for digital health devices subject to the EU Medical Device Regulation (EU MDR).
