The R package nucleR was used to first smooth DRIP-seq signal using filterFFT function (pcKeepComp = 0.05) and then to extract peaks using peakDetection (threshold = 95%). Finally, overlapping peaks were merged, resized to 500 bp and non-mappable regions and regions of the ENCODE blacklist were discarded.
